The 52nd Puerto Vallarta International Sailfish & Marlin Tournament was a grand success. Contestants delivered their catches to officials in Marina Vallarta during the three day competition for lucrative prizes totaling $300,000 U.S.

Live music and a grandstand were provided, but standing room only was available to the large crowds that gathered. to observe the weigh-ins and the pretty models who posed with the contestants.

Marina Vallarta’s malecon was abuzz with spectators visiting the many local restaurants, shops, and special activities. Some chose to simply stroll the romantic waterfront that is home to many yachts.

Particularly drawing good crowds after the closing of the weigh-ins were the dance performances that were presented by various dance schools. Children and adults entertained the audiences with colorful and tantalizing choreographs.
