Ahhhhhh.

Mexico, where everybody learns that mañana means that is isn’t happening today, and where we quickly learn that it isn’t even happening tomorrow. As much as we are frustrated with the delays associated with the mañana lifestyles when trying to get goals accomplished, we realize that it is the flexibility and spontaneity of the Mexican culture that allows for much of the congeniality here.

BoatMexico.Com has been working diligently to bring to all of our fellow boaters a website unique in services and design. Trying to accomplish this feat in time for the prime of our 2007-2008 boating season is proving to be impossible. We have spent months working through the bureaucracies that made mañana a cliché. We have been successful with many things, but everything has made the boating cliché of “everything costs three times as much and takes twice as long” sound like the understatement of 2007.

Nevertheless, BoatMexico.Com will arrive, just not on the time table we planned. We knew we would be a little late in the 2007 boating season, but we now will plan to be early for the 2008 boating season.

What can you expect in the meantime?We have been considering the alternatives. We may soon offer a very limited service in the interim on this public site. Another possibility is that we may have a beta version of part of the program available in the early months of 2008. Or, we may have to set aside publishing the member’s only part of the program entirely until we have the full-featured product for you. The decision depends on responses that we receive from our developers and they are slow coming during the holiday season.We are taking this opportunity to let our prospective clients know that BoatMexico.Com will be offering at best only a very limited service this 2007-2008 boating season.
